Time to Think?????

When an animal that in the wild spends hours foraging for food, gets three square meals a day there is a lot of time for reflection. I am not sure what he is thinking about? Maybe... I wish that guy would put his camera away? Chimps like their human cousins lose hair and gray as they age. I am sure that the dry Los Angeles climate doesn't help, either.

Magnificent close up and presentation Garrett. Sure looks like he's thinking and sure is watching you.

"...Mirror, mirror, on the wall...."

Great capture Garrett - this is a facinating study. What a hairy guy he is.

You are really making some nice portraits from the zoo Garrett. He looks rather sad like he knows he is just biding his time. There are people that have that same look. Great character study.

Uploaded to 'animals', but perhaps better placed under 'portraits'. It would be so very easy to humanise this subject. Very nicely composed, good balance and tone. I can only echo what ::0930_23 said above - great character study.

Music is more than the notes we hear; it is the spaces between the notes that make it complete.

I see you had time to Monkey around at the zoo or is this a self portrait Garrett?? An excellent job on this Chimp capture. Saved.

I dunno, I see a hint of a smirk. : ) And possibly on the verge of sending some sign language. Seriously, an excellent portrait of him. Agree, his character seems to shine through. I love the lighting, details and subtle complimenting background. Thank you for sharing him.

Good heavens, what a human like expression. But then, why not? They were both created by the same God. That is a marvelous capture. Love the title.

Like the expression on his face, it's....it's almost human....aahhhh :oD

Like the lighting and clearity, I am not so sure about the frame, but that's just me, methinks it doesn't need a frame, 'cause it's already a good shot:o)

Thinking about his next meal at the zoo. Looks like he doesn't want to eat his spinach. Great shot.
