Common Bushtits have been called the pixies of the Chapparal plant community. They travel in often large feeding groups and move in and out of an area searching for tiny insects. Their call sounds like a dog's " squeeky toy " being squeezed. They rarely remain still for very long. Always on the move for that next tasty treat.

Great clarity (per usual) on Squeaky, Garrett. I find the branches a little distracting in the background. Not your fault, just an observation on my part.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
First thank you for the history behind this little bird and is a first for me as a love bird life and have never seen this breed before we have six types of this species in the UK .The detail in this photo is amazing as I know that they are very small and always flitting hear and there and I love that you captured the lovely colours in this bird and your presentation is superb Garrett.

Spot on shallow focus Garrett, & well balanced post editing as usual, personally I don't find the background distracting, it simply puts the bird in context.

This little cutie is sure giving you the evil eye. You are such an outstanding photographer. Really like the way you've captured him with his feathers a little ruffled on his left but our right. Excellent colour and detail, Bravo again my friend
