I took this image about 3 weeks ago. I didn't share it because I thought more of the birds would show up in the next couple weeks. This guy is gone now and no others have shown up. Last year we had over 50. About three years ago we didn't have any. I hope this year is not like that year. I love these guys.

Garrett ... I'll send some American White Pelicans your way. I observed around 250 of them on Sunday, but most were too far from shore. Maybe got a few good in flight shots. The fall migration is about 2 weeks behind this year due to milder temps farther north.

A beautiful capture & I love the lighting surrounding him / her. Pelicans are impressive birds.

Simply stunning with the reflection on the water's ripples Garrett. Some years I see them on the Lake here and other years - not a one. Perhaps they migrate different than other birds.

This is one outstanding looking capture with a lovely smooth looking water and stunning colours and the reflections are amazing too.And what makes this photo so nice it the colours mixing with ripples on the the lake.
