Along with the cranes we saw many other birds on our trip. One such bird was this Burrowing Owl. Burrowing Owls spend most of there time on the ground and nest in burrows.
Wow you capture this owl in a stunning setting and the detail in this photo is superb and them eyes are amazing Garrett .Love how you managed to capture the soft looking feathers around it neck and chest ,plus the grass it is nestled up to adds a lovely feel to this photo as well.Thanks for sharing this beautiful capture .

Whoa, look at those piercing stare with those beautiful big eyes. The detail of all his feathers, it would be amazing to see this fellows in person and study their activity & behavior during a period of time.
