This past Saturday I was at my favorite spot. The Osprey had picked a perch that I could not resist. Usually it picks one that is farther away or the bird is facing the opposite direction, etc. etc., but that day... Anyway after watching it for a few minutes I could see that it was going to fly(a very long explanation for another time). I set up my camera and began watching, within 10 minutes it took off and this is what I got.

Wonderful capture Garrett. The wing positioning is great and shows the markings of the osprey so well.

This is one area I really need to improve on. I get way too anxious trying to get the shot before it changes I end up missing it or ends up blurry. Being able to patiently follow the subject and wait for the right moment is a skill. Good job!

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Magnificent shot and really like all the detail showing us the muscular legs and wings. Boy the stare of this fellow, he's zeroed in on his pray. Right into my favs
