Another winter bird in the bay was this Earred Grebe. I was able to get fairly close in the kayak. Maybe 30 feet.

I don't know about his ear, but his red eye is a stand out! Great action shot...you can see the water drops rolling down him!

Wow this is one beautiful looking capture I love the colours and the swirl in the water around the bird plus that water looks stunning and I love how you have the bird raised out of the water when you took this photo lift the water with it .Aldo i like the feeling of moment in this photo too,well done.
