Yesterday morning I headed out to Lake Erie shore to photograph birds as this is a gathering area for migratory birds. Found this guy high in a tree along the beach in Holiday Beach Conservation Area. I donot know my raptors that well, but was told by a birdwatcher that this is an immature Bald Eagle. I know it excited to see him and took maybe ten shots of him till he got tired of me and flew down the beach...If anybody knows please confirm if indeed this is a young Bald eagle. As always, thanks in advance for viewing and commenting...

Hi Gerry - very nice that he hung around for you! I'm no expert on bald eagles, but that beak sure looks like it belongs to an eagle! Good 'catch' of a elusive subject.

It certainly looks like an eagle to me too. I wish I could get close enough to get such a good shot!

It does appear to be a juvenile Bald Eagle. Lucky you! Lucky us, that you're sharing it!

He certainly looks majestic Gerry and you've captured him well in that state. The clear blue of the sky as background is really nice as is the composition. Well done and thanks for sharing him.

Well, he does indeed have the head of an eagle. I love this perspective with the sky behind him and the minimal tree branches along the bottom. The shot is bright and crisp.
