This is another shot taken this past Spring. This Turtle was in the pond at the Nature Preserve.

I wish we had more such animals living at wild here ...
Would be a nice alternative to snails for me !! LOL

This one is really posing for the camera. I have never seen a real live turtle but know I will recognise one now if I ever do :)

It's wonderful how well they blend into their surroundings. I hardly ever see turtles in their own environment like this..usually they're in stores or making their way across highways..dangerous!!!! great job :)

A great portrait of such an interesting fella [or is it gal - how do you tell?] Nice close up but still showing a hint of the habitat. Well spotted and great fieldcraft - I bet they don't hang around if you blunder right on in there;o)
