Sometimes when I am out in field and I am purposely trying to photograph butterflies I feel like I am chasing dreams...most times they fly away before I get the shot...not this time!!

I just found out about a place near me, where butterflies are in a controlled environment. I have to check it out. That's the only way I will ever get a butterfly shot. This is a perfect shot, Gerry. You can see all the detail in the butterfly, right down to the texture in the wings. Super work.

That lens of yours works well Gerry. Such minute detail. I can't believe the clarity. You are right about the dreams and I think this one came true.
Good post.

What a job: chasing dreams! Very very good job Gerry! The chasing seems to result in a great, clear and good composed picture!

I think nature photography, especially with birds and butterflies is a matter of patience and getting them to come to you.

Wonderful butterfly photo Gerry! A keeper and favorite of mine! Because of the spots, is this another type of peacock butterfly? The spots set it off for me! Nice accent. Thank you! Allen
