It's back onto the nature trail folks. The title reflects the fact that although the photo was taken very recently this long grass of summer past still remains. :o)
I bet you will be mowing the grass before I am. We still got at least six inches of snow and it is snowing again now. I'm sick of it. I would rather mow than clear snow. This is a pretty good close up. It very colorful with that sky.
Looks just like a Texas summer shot...except for last year. We had so much rain last year that it stayed as green as Ireland. Beautiful to look at, but a real killer when the temp goes above 95F (35C). In August, the temp cools to that around midnight. Hence, the brown, brown grass of home. Now, dust off your knees and take a bow.
Those lazy hazy dayz of summer, stuning Phil, reminds me of when I was young and in love with a certain girl and we spent some time looking at the sky, wonderful photo, and wonderful times for me......
No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
COME ON YOU GREENS, UP THE ARGYLE.....
All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>

"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." ~Dorothea Lange
