I love the Bewick Swan their so graceful, & well behaved all the time unlike their cousins the Mute Swan. All they want is a quiet spot, & some vegetation to chomp on.................................. !! .................Come back please you haven't completed your photo session yet.

Normally I don't get the camera out so close to the Winter Solstice Tick
The sun is always so low in the sky, & when the clouds clear there's really bold light, & equally bold shadows which make conditions very difficult to capture properly. That's why you can see darker tones here.

If you have a garden please feed the birds this freezing winter, & supply drinking water not ice, it's so important. . . . Help dwindling bird numbers survive.
