The Earth actually began it's new years cycle during the Winters Solstice several days ago folks, but 21st century man is marking a new year in approximately 20 minutes time GMT.

In times long past now snow covered many lands like 2day but ancient man couldn't feed all his cattle throughout the winter. So hence forth it became a celebratory occasion when surplus cattle were slaughtered, & fresh roast meat was eaten in abundance, for a while starvation was unknown. :o) .. there are so many names for it.

Perhaps you could click here for a cynical music link ? If not you can click here for a celebration. :o)

A sincere, & happy new year to everyone clicking on my gallery page old Phlossies stepping back into his Tardis for awhile now folks. ha ha .......................
