A Nene comes a walking over expecting a handout from me, as the majority of Slimbridge birds are over weight I rarely bother feeding them these days, much to the disappointment of this bird.

I often think about the many issues that have kept this lovely Goose on the almost extinct list for 60 years now, it's such a shame their lovely creatures.

A true panhandler Phlossie. Mabye a tasty Nene would fit in the frying pan. Excellent capture. Is Overweight/Slimbridge bird a oxymoron? I believe so. Good post.

That is a chubby goose. You are no doubt wise not to offer them more food. That is probably not good for them to over eat. It is a very pretty goose and has a very inquisitive look on its face. Nice closeup, Phil.

Birds know when they're on to a good thing. the only reason I can get so close to swans on The Model Boating Lake is they know that there is a steady stream of people turning up to feed them. But it does mean we can get close like you've done here Phil. A lovely shot of this cracking bird.

Nice work from you my friend, sorry about the late comments, I seem to be so very far behind at the moment.
