Some of my American cousins may be unfamiliar with this European Crow so I've left an information link here. In captivity they've proven to be quite an intelligent bird, & are great mimics amongst other things.
They look a little differant but seem to be the same when it comes to thier intelliagance. Every tine I see one the words. "Never More" comes to minnd.
I was looking at his feet and know I know why those tiny lines around the eyes are called crow's feet. Seriously, he is a nice looking bird with lots of shades to him and not all black like the other crows.
Ah, so good of you to post one of MsCROW's distant cousins! I do love the eye color! Our American Crows have eyes like coal. Nice detail in this. Yes, Corvids are an extremely amazing family of birds!
Thanks for the link, he's really a unique member of the crow family, Super shot Phil. It almost looks like he needs Grecian Formula hair colour for his grey, lol.
Great shot. Here in Conwy, if you are born within the town walls you are automatically a member of the Jackdaw society Link here. We have jackdaws adorning out sign posts around the town too.
