Heceda Head, OR, USA....I usually don't use my long lens because I feel the quality of the images are somewhat inferior to the lens I usually use. However, when the subject is a quarter of a mile away, it does help to have it in the camera bag...LOL.

Beautiful shot! Looks like there is a lighthouse keepers' house and a little barn of some kind. Very quaint.

Therefore I'm using on my photo shoots most of the time a general purpose lens (Nikkor 18-300mm) wich allows me to take images from the range of macro to relative far distance images without changing the lens. By not changing the lens any time, it's helpful to prevent dust on the photo chip too.

I understand completely. I'm using a Nikkor 18-140mm and find it takes care of 95% of my needs. Thanks for the comment.

You don`t need a lot of sharp detail with a photo like this , most excellent.
