Hope someone likes this for their desktop. Done in Apophysis with no post edit (gave it a go but I prefered the original). Comments, advice, most welcome.
Well done Ian, you've got some great colours there. I see some metallic in there too (in your fan).......maybe if you used a little more colour, brought the gammma up a notch, then darkened it a little........I'll bet it would make that metal shine. :)
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there. :-)................ MY GALLERY - THE LION****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOMEPAGE
Marvelific metallic dream state Ian!! Perhaps a resize to 1600x1200 would be better for desktop wallpaper presentation. A grand flame and color scheme!! Congrats!!
Beautiful. I'm not usually a fan of browns, but this seems perfect. Terrific depth and a sense of mystery here, almost. It makes me think of cogs turning, of clockwork - but on a scale or with an importance and scope beyond human imagining.
Really, really liking that aspect of the colourations.
And that one main stream/strand of liquified metal ... for lack of better phrasing on my part, is amazing.
Glad you didn't tinker with this one, as I am want to do most of the time. Your manipulations of the transforms and choice of gradient do all of your talking on this flame for you.
