Well folks, March sure came in like a big Lion here up in Northern Ontario: with severe winds, white stuff and white outs where you can't see a thing. It's been going on again for the past week with the windchill of -23C/-9.5F. I've been using my new toy, Snowblower a lot.

This is for Sandi, she has such fabulous big cat pictures, hope you like it my friend, I know this isn't as good as yours but had fun trying.

Captured this gorgeous Mountain Lion at the Calgary Zoo in Calgary, Alberta during our visit our daughter, son-in-law and grandson 2016, May 08. He was hiding under these stones on some cozy hay for bedding.

Used Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 to bring out some more detail and lighten it up some, then with

Great shot of the mountain lion Pat - you did a fabulous job - such a beautiful animal - Love it!!!:-):-):-) p.s. The extended weather forecast is calling for a Nor'easter in our area on Monday night into Tuesday - heavy rain, snow and gusty winds - hoping that it takes a sharp right toward the ocean.

This shot looks like something that Tigs would have posted. I like the detail as demonstrated by the glint in her eyes.

No wonder that Sandi enjoys much your tribute to her by this wonderful image, Pat, because you've portrayed the cool impression on its face very well. Think that a so called 'fill-in flash' may had improved the lighting somewhat, but I suppose that you had to deal with the limiting conditions which I have on my photo shoots to horse driving/jumping competitions: using flash gear is strictly forbidden to avoid that the animals would be frightened.
Wonderful post anyhow. Thanks, my friend!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Very good shot of the lion. I like her pose - I think it is a female.

Looks like he's waiting for the taco truck. Better not stick your hand in there for a pet.
