One of my students mentioned to me that there was a field of sunflowers off the beaten path on a back road near the school where I teach. I grabbed my camera and was so very pleased with what I discovered. This is in Longwood Gardens, PA as part of their property, but not an official part of the gardens. It is just along the side of a little road where you can pull your car over and enjoy. :)

Interesting perspective, having the sun on your shoulders by the picture, you've created a magic viewpoint.

Nicely composed and presented scene. Lovely colours and depth in your shot. Good work!

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson

Good view and nice composition. I wonder about clarity of the second sunflower from the left, the close one, could it be a little clearer?

You positioned the flower with the bee perfectly in terms of thirds composition principle. That perfection of placement was somewhat undermined by the droopy flower in the left foreground being sharper, so the eye is drawn to the bee flower for it's position but to the droopy flower for it's sharpness. (Well, mine was.) If the bee flower was also the sharpest I think the elegant simplicity of your shot would have extra emotive punch. The bokh is pretty harsh but nothing you can do about that except buy a new lens. It's really only an issue in this shot because so much of the shot is appropriately out of focus but still narratively relevant for the patterns it contains. I really like the contrast between the bright (yellow being emotionally "happy".) and happy flowers being all in ranks like regimented soldiers.

It is not "The powerful attack the weak." it is "The fearful attack what they fear."
