This picture I took in Noosa National Park, QLD. As with the top rock pool, the pool on the bottom left was also almost a perfect circle. I also took a photo of both pools together which I'll upload at a later date. Please tell me what you think!!

Hi Jemma
This is what you can call natures perfect shape.
I always look at these kind of things with great respect...what nature is able to create, no men can.
You saw it and took a shot of it in a very nice angle.
well done.
If I might give a little bit of comment; I think if you make this shot a little bit darker and give it a bit more contrast it would become better.
anyway I am looking forward to see the other shot of this subject

Thanks everyone for your comments!! I agree with you on the contrast, Stormdancer, although I'm not too fabulous at modifying!! I use Adobe Photoshop but am not THAT great at it - sometimes I acheive great effects but then the next time I go to do the same thing I forget how I did it!!! I'll definatly give it a go thou - if anyone has any particular hints about using Photoshop to acheive this I'd much appreciate it!!! :)

I forgot to mention about the other shots I have of these rock pools - I think this one turned out the best, because the others turned out a bit overexposed in some parts, for example the lower right corner of this image. In this image it is a bit washed out already, but in some of the others it is waaaay too bright and is quite distracting from the rest of the image. Again, fidling wiht the contrast *could* (with some luck on my part) fix it so I will give it a go before I upload it!!

I'm amazed at these natural formations. What's really weird is that the stone is uniform enough that erosion would have made it so perfect. I think the image might have been centered in such a way that either both circles were captured or one was centered. Lovely spot, though.

Nice color and interesting topic. This makes a very nice background.

The flow from left to right (the dark color of the pools) draws the eye.

Over all - nice job. Look forward to more from this series.

This is great.

I am uncertain of the comments made with regards to centering. For me, as is, this image works very well. The stone that is in the shadows, is almost perfectly balanced by that in the in the light. I like composition, the eye follows the diagonal of the 'divider' between the two rock circles and then from circle to circle. There seems to be a nice flow overall.

Good clarity, nice detail. Nice work and a very good eye to have 'seen' this shot before taking it. Really look forward to seeing more.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
