a place i relish for it's beauty is queen's bath. one walks slowly down a steep (often muddy) path at the end of which is a large expanse of volcanic rock. once you reach the bottom of the hill you can walk left or right for a good distance. the ocean views from here are beautiful. if you look waaaay into the background you will see a sailboat on the left and a cruise ship on the right. also, it's a great hangout for the large sea turtles. thanks for any comments (in advance). enjoy!

Really neat shot! I love the varied blues of the sky and the water and those rocks are prominent features along with those huge waves and you have captured them so well. A lot of nice contrasts too.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Jen your capture of the water, its colours and textures, and the contrast with the rock shapes - are just achingly beautiful in this image. Would you mind if I attempted this in watercolours? I adore it!

[Errummm, where exacly IS the Queen's Bath - sure doesn't look like anywhere in Arizona.]

Maybe it is queen's bath but I prefer my bathtube at this time of the year, lol. But have nothing against a nice walk. Which way do you recommend: right or left? Just lead us Jen and we will follow you to the end of the world.

Those Hawaiian Queens were hardy souls if they didn't mind getting knocked about among the lava rocks by all those waves while bathing.
Your photo is wonderfully evocative of the power and excitement of the sea. I agree with Anne-Marie that it would make a wonderful painting.

Great "action" shot. You can really feel the water moving and crashing into the rocks.
