i deleted the first one because it didn't looked the way i planned for it to look. i hope this shows it better. it looks best at full frame.............. my grandson, tim, who is a 4th grader is studying arizona native americans. he was eager to take a visit to see this place. it's about an hour and a half north of phoenix. here is the first of many photographsthat i will post. this dwelling was built by the sinaguas in approximately 1400AD. it was 5 stories tall. it had about 20 rooms and it housed about 50 people...................many of my "elderly friends remember a time when you were able to climb ladders to enter the castle." for some excellent information visit the following: http://www.nps.gov/moca/ thanks for any comments you might wish to make. ENJOY!

Totally awesome, Jen! What a remarkable dwelling. Bravo for Tim wanting to take this trip through history and you, of course, are providing the photos so he can remember it all. Can't wait to see more shots and to visit the link you provided.

I`m with Randy in wondering how they built it up there? I`m going to check out that link. I have seen some of the most amazing things here on Caedes and this is up there. I`ve never seen this remarkable structure before and many thanks for showing us it. A great image here.

BRAVO Jen, this is a fabulous posting and sure looks 3D at full view & such detail. I sure wouldn't want to climb to the front door, lol. It really is amazing the way they built these right into the cliffs and so far up.

So many talented people have walked through the annals of history Jen. How talented they were to conceive and construct this marvel. Great photo and I am glad you included us in your granson's quest.

Best wide-angle lens? Two steps backward. Look for the 'ah-ha'. Ernest Haas

Fantastic shot Jen. It is hard to imagine how the people of that time constructed something like this.

Oh, I remember visiting this site, but it was closed off when I was there, so I was never able to climb the ladders.

This is well-posted photo and thanks for the memory, my friend.
