while on a foggy low tide walk near cannon beach, oregon. i came across these creatures. this was such a lucky find. for those of you who saw it earlier, thought it looked too dull. so delete/upload.........you know the old story. anyway seeing these all together was a treat. notice they are 3 different colors........orange, magenta and purple. the turquoise things are anemones. this one looks best full frame. thanks for any comments (i loved the ones the first time i uploaded this one.) ENJOY!

It was great the first time Jen and this one is even better. Those anemones look like jewels and make such a beautiful base for the starfish - this must be the result of a tsunami and they were all washed up together.

When I lived on the sound in CT the only starfish I had ever found were brown of a strange green. I never seen so much color. Good find and a great shot.

What an amazing find Jen ... guess the starfish wanted to stay close to one another as they await for the tide to come in again. Love the variety of colors & textures. Excellent capture. + faves!

Jen - THis is an amazing find. I've never seen starfish with these colors. On the east coast, I've seen tan ones that are rather dull. With the side lighting, they have a sheen as well. Excellent photo! Thad
