This was taken in the Pantanal at dawn. "The Jabiru is the tallest flying bird found in South America and Central America, often standing around the same height as the flightless and much heavier American Rhea, and has the second largest wingspan, after the Andean Condor.[1] The adult Jabiru is 120–140 cm (47–55 in) long, 2.3–2.8 m (7.5–9.2 ft) across the wings, and can weigh 4.3–9 kg (9.5–20 lb).[1] Large males may stand as tall as 1.53 m (5.0 ft). The beak, which measures 25–35 cm (9.8–14 in), is black and broad, slightly upturned, ending in a sharp point.....Thanks in advance for any looks and/or comments. ENJOY!

Such a clear, and well detailed capture, I wonder if those crocs are looking at him as a meal. A very good wildlife capture Jen.

The "friends" are caymans. They were everywhere. We walked near them. I even touched one. No doubt they are fierce. They like fish.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

It's amazing how they all seem to be ignoring each other. Still, I'm not sure they are "friends." Cool capture. Faved.

Hi Jen,
let me guess, you are sitting comfortably among your Cayman friends while shooting the wildlife?
How are you?
