These are Alstroemeria flowers and my contribution for Foofy Friday. These flowers were the hangers on from my Easter bouquet. Here is some additional info about the Alstroemeria flower. Alstroemeria, commonly called the Peruvian lily or lily of the Incas. Alstroemeria flower is symbolic of wealth, prosperity and fortune. It is also the flower of friendship. Alstroemeria flowers bloom during late spring or early summer and come in orange, pink, rose, purple, red, yellow, white or salmon colors. These flowers are commonly used in floral bouquets. Alstroemeria is named after the Swedish botanist Klas von Alstroemer. Enjoy - and Have a Great Weekend!!!!!

Laura - I had a few of these flowers, symbols of wealth, and they had no impact on my financial circumstances. Oh well! You have chosen the perfect lighting for these blooms. With the dark background, the colors and textures are shown very well.

Superb lighting Laura - I know this type flower is not highly prized but I really like them and have always found them interesting to photograph - wonderful post and spot-on framing.
