Went out today to get some additional shots in the peony patch - while there I came across this tree across the road which have these thin white blooms and also have a lovely fragrance - I cannot identify this tree and I'm certain someone out there can help!!!!!!

Laura, very hard to identify, but to me there are some options.
I've selected of these options two 'candidates': #1 is the Chionanthus virginicus and #2 is Pileostegia (viburnoides?).
There are more options however. Therefore I'm curious whether one or more of our Caedes friends will join me in my suggestions or not.
A very fine capture anyhow!

I think Mr. C.'s first tree Id is correct - I remember seeing trees like this on a spring trip to D.C. when I was in high school - it's beautiful!

Beautiful capture, I remember a tree like that from my younger days only it had pink, fine little blooms on it. No name though.
