The jetty at a friend's house which sits on the shores of Lake Geneva. For most, this is as far as they go. Despite it being January, I decided to go a little further. Took a **VERY** cold and short swim, then a longer kayak out into the mist once the sun was down. This shot was between the two - the sun dropping behind the mountains invisible in the mist, but sending the whole visible area orange. Paddling out afterwards into the slowly darkening night on a beautifully calm lake until the houses were simple pricks of light behind me in the night was magical, the peace and silence out there was something I rarely get to experience, and can never forget.
