Yesterday we ventured out in the wind and rain and cold cold tempratures to choose our tree. Now I am very fussy about my tree, which has rubbed off on my daughters. This means it took visits to two places, lots of picking up trees and us girls walking round each one pointing out bald bits here, or non bushy parts there lol. Eventually we did find THE tree. Lyndsey and I dressed the tree in blue and silver to match our new decorated lounge. She insisted that we alternate the colours in layers, and that each colour had the baubles alternated as well lol. So this is one of the blue ones :) I love that moment when you have done all the decorating and you turn the tree lights on for the first time. Thank you for looking xx

What a gorgeous blue bulb. I'm glad you and your girls aren't looking me over at some auction deciding whether to purchase old antique or not. I don't think I would pass muster. Love the description and your enjoyment of the Holidays is infectious. I think my computer now loves the holidays.
Great photo Jo. Happy Holidays.

Lovely shot, Jo. Is it with the new camera? Because if it is you're starting to master it!

Great job, and I wish I could see the whole tree!! I've always wanted to do a tree in blue and silver or white, but could never come up with a reason why. Now, you've given me the secret and I'm going to use it !!! j/k

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
