Today being St Davids Day here in Wales, all our ancient monuments were free to get in. Here we are inside Conwy Castle. We are standing in the cellar beneath the great hall. The large oblong holes in the wall are where the wooden struts for the floor went. You can just make out the stone arches for the ceiling along the right hand side at the top of the walls. The main decorative arch is still intact. Just before the walkway across the cellar you can see the remains of a fireplace. The arched hole in the far wall was once a window. There is a vast amount of information Here Thank you for looking x

I can't believe we get to go inside your Conwy Castle. It looks so huge. I love your angle which really gives it perspective. The colors are damp and cold which I expected. This is a nice adventure you're taking us on. Very good Jo.

Great angles you've used here,MFJ. This is what everybody expects an old castle to look like. Conwy Castle is just so good. If only those old stones could talk, just think of the stories they'd tell!

Wow! This is a great composition Jo, you were able to capture so much in this, the arches, the tower, the craggy remains on the walls... Were you down in the moat? :) Most pics I've seen of inside castle remains only show a small part of what it looks like. This is a wonderful depiction because you really get a feel of what it was like to be there :)
