Now you can see the little wooden pegs that hold this staircase together. We are almost to the second floor now, where we have some very nice things to look at soon. I do walk up these stairs as fast as I can lol the creaks make me worry. The very top floor really scares me as I have a phobia of walking on flimsy floorboards, and at the attic floor you can actually see through the large gaps in the wooden floor right through to to the floor below. But the second floor is just fine,, from here we are going to be turning left into what was thought to be Mr Wynns room. It isnt furnished, but wonderfully plastered. I hope your holding on really tightly there Tick. :) Thank you for looking xx

I'm hanging on but not moving too fast Jo. I'm enjoying the craftsmanship for one and I'm old for the other. lol. I'm sure enjoying this tour. You're doing great. What did they say about you taking all those photos? Hurry up missy or something like that? Have a good weekend.

I'm enjoying this tour but I'll only go upstairs via your pictures, Jo. Firstly they look dangerously flimsy and being a man of some heft I think I'll give them a miss. Secondly they look mighty steep and with my luck at the moment I'll slip and break my ankle.

Great shot the detail is very interesting and the wood looks great with marvellous colour and patina.

Boy Howdy...the folks that used this staircase must have been a lot smaller than we folk today...great tour and I can see you're leading our boys on a merry chase...j/k

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Is the rope there for you to grab hold of if the pegs give way?
That's a nice picture.

Wait for me!!
Running late - need a hand up these creaky stairs but will linger a bit to properly see all the detail in this old wood and craftmanship :)
