This is a grave marker in the main church in Conwy St Marys and All Saints. I had to share it here as it always amazes me. If you cant make out the writing here is what it says.......... Here lyeth ye body of Nicholas Hookes of Conway Gen who was the 41st child of his father William Hookes Esq by Alice his wife and ye father of 27 children who dyed ye 20th day of March 1637.......... I have to say my sympathies are more with poor Alice than the deceased lol.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

I've heard of a month of Sundays but I think we are talking about a month or more of Saturday nights. Must have went through a lot of mid wives. Good fun post Jo.

Wow! I'm amazed she ever had time to do anything other than have children! As giving birth was one of the most dangerous things a woman could do back then she's a medical miracle! Good shot,MFJ.
