This really should have been number one. This was taken through the locked gates, looking up the main drive to the Asylum. In the past this drive was more of an avenue with trees on either side. I have tried to get a picture of it in the past, will keep looking. The round hole at the top of the tower used to hold an ornamental clock. This wasnt the way that Al and I got into the hospital though, as the drive is so long that we could have been caught on it.

As you can see from the steps leading up to the door, nature is well on the way to reclaiming the land.

I didn't think you and Al tried to crawl through the hole where the clock used to be BC. Oh, you meant the avenue. I am glad you didn't try to "pretty up" this shot because it would have gone against the realism that it represents.

It is a good and clear shot of people who were unclear on who they were or what was wrong. There were most likely some staff that had the same problem.

If you only got just a little bit closer PLEASE !!!
Tick's comment - I find surprising ...
Does anybody have the certainty on who they are or what has been wrong ?
Forgive my morbid mood tonight = this morning [the heap of papers on my desk would make anybody depressed LOL]

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, Jo. The building is an architectural beauty for sure. The photos have been disturbing but yet moving as well. Great work.

A gorgeous architecture and I wonder if may be transformed into a museum or hotel.
Well done as usual.
