I thought I would share my special little friend Inferno with you. He is a special needs hedgehog who I was given to care for. He has no instinct to look for food, and curls into a ball at anything and everything except Al and I. When he curls up he makes a funny hissing noise that sounds almost like he is trying to sound like fire hence his name.
He has a very posh house in our garden with a nice long enclosed run where he loves to play. Of course he has begun the long hibernation now, but we still place food in his run just in case he pops out. As you can see he is only a baby and as he is at the moment there is not looking much like he will ever be totally wild. He also likes having his picture taken too. x

Hey he curls up and hisses too?? I thought I was the only one! He is a cute pet but not very good for petting. Great shot Inferno your friendly pet.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.
I wonder if they all hiss at traffic as they dodge!!!

Oh Jo, you are such a special person doing wonderful things to care for the poor creatures who can't fend for themselves. I would have done the same. Thank you for sharing such a special story on this very special little fellow. God Bless You

Hello Jo....This a very good closeup showing plenty of detail in your prickly friend...Sometimes we see a hedgehog in our garden,he usually appears when he activates the security light in the back garden...Well done...All the very best to you Jo...................................................Mick.
