As you can see from my resent posts I'd rather think of summer right now than winter... I think that's mainly because the winter in south of Sweden is rather depressing. ^_^ No snow as far as the eye can reach. Instead it rains and the wind allways blow just a bit too much so it's allways raw and chilly even if it's several degrees plus (about 7° celsius today). This shot is also from Turkey. My wife and I had a great time there.

yep takes me back too in a different way.....i grew up in Sri Lanka and the palm trees there are different but i miss them nevertheless. the leaves have a core resemblance throughout the palm family. & the summers there were pretty much endless, with just two monsoon breaks........er.. someone tell me what i'm doing in UK? in bristol(rain basin) its cold and wet like u say, Klas, & no snow either. so hats off to ye for taking me back down the memory lane. : )

Wow! What a comment. :) I wish in some ways that I could understand that feeling you get. I wish I belonged somewhere else sometimes. It's so damn boring to be an ordinary blond Swede. o_O Well it isn't that bad I guess. ^_^ I'm glad I could give you those feelings. I can honestly say I envy you though. I'm glad there's some fresh blood in Europe though. Just think of how horrible the traditional English cuisine is. Thank god that we got some real culture back from the world. I'd say we don't really deserve to get so enriched in our lives after ruining so much of the world during the colonial empire. Damn, o_O I went political again. Won't happen again... ^_^
