Excellent work: great composition, good colour palette, high detail and even a complete Latin name to boot! This deserves a very high rating, IMHO.

Well, I don't know anymore about this insect than when I started but I sure had a ball studying him. What a set of eyeballs. If I had eyes like that, would I need glasses?

This is a very good macro image with great sharpness and depth of field. Do you have any idea what that waxy orb is under his wing? I've noticed a bunch of fly type insects that I've photographed has it. Great job.
