Kristof, the composition is grand and the right side of the dragonfly is in such sharp focus. Considering these buggers move around, it would be a miracle both would be as sharp. It's very nice and no criticisms here. - Patty
i cant find anything to be critical about! his wings look like stained glass with out color, they are so sharp and detailed! i love how the light is reflecting off them. love the colors in this shot, the green background and the purple flower look so great with his orange body. incredible capture! ~abby
This is so wonderful, Kristoff. I am often amazed by your work, which makes me see things in a different light. What a fine photographer you are. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. :)
EXCELLENT. Do you have some kind of metal connection with these guys? Every shot you post of dragonflies are always super sharp and have perfect exposure. This is really a beautiful shot. The color and detail are amazing. anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
You surely jest Kristof. I have not seen the like of such a good picture of a dragonfly and I'm really partial to dragonfly pictures. The wings look almost plastic they show up so good. I would be honored to show it off on my desktop.
I have been chasing dragonflies (red and orange ones) lately. But yours (especially the original) with the wings wide open is truly great. I have noticed the wings of the dragonflies glitter like rainbow when looked at specific angle. Would be awsome to capture it one day, don't you think?
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Hello my friend!..what a beautiful photo of this wonderful little dragonfly..the wings on this one are just amazing...have sure never seen a dragon like this one. Its wonderful that you were able to get such a great shot of it. I caN never see the ones at my house even slow down long enough for me to take a pic. How do you do that? Thanx for a lovely photo..V
Ahhh, insects. They're so complex and detailed that they make for a desktop background that keeps you intrigued. This one is so incredibly in focus that it looks like a computer-generated image. Nice work!

"Feel free to be critical" -- of what? This is perfect in every way. Gorgeous subject, beautifully presented, nice colors to complement it...what's not to LOVE?
Another great dragonfly portrait Kristof. This is a VERY freshly emerged female Common or Ruddy Darter [Sympetrum striolatum or sanguineum]. Not easy to tell species apart when that young. I doubt she has even made her maiden flight yet given the sheen on her wings. Very nice capture; only one minor point, just apity the right forewing tip is cropped off. Other than this - brilliant.
Cheers,
Steve.
