Excellent focus on the parakeet! Like ghostknife, I too like the blurring of the background so the main focus is on the subject. Perfect color and composition! Thanks for sharing!
Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
I love this shot. The color, detail and DOP control are excellent. I used to have a bird that looked just like this one but my old 35 mm could never get the quality that is in your picture..Good job and thanks for sharing, Don
So when do you work at a job? You have so many great photos I don't see how you could be doing anything else. This is a real beauty. So soft but clear. The colors are wonderful! Jodie
Fabulous shot Kristof, love the close up & the gorgeous colors. Hope you don't mind but I DL this to my colors folder. Hopefully one day I'll post a fractal & use these colors !
Well this is a lovely photo of this little parakeet. My daughter had one that I found flying around an intersection and taught it to say all kinds of stuff. Great capture.

Did you ever nail this birdie. What a beautiful blue. I like his pose also and the grasses in his beak. There isn't any part of him that is out of focus. Even the toes are full of detail. Marvelous capture and a keeper.

This is a fun and candidly taken photo. The sharpness the bird is remarkable. Made to look sharp by the shallow depth of field that makes it stand out very well. Good work.
This is spectacular. You are so amazing with your animal captures. It's like they want you to take their pictures because they know how the pictures will come out!
This parakeet seems like he's pretending to be the dove carrying the olive branch of peace... but he's so much more colorful. It's absolutely beautiful, my friend! I cannot explain it in better words (well, I probably could, but I don't want to get out the thesaurus)
Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.

My daughter had a bird that looked like this one. I caught him flying around a 4 way stop in the area and took him home. She taught him to talk and mimic dog toys, the microwave and other beeping/buzzing things around the house. Lovely capture.

Tweetiebird is striking a pose and a good one! Beautiful close-up with details of his delicate feathers and those cute feet. I have 4 parakeets and one is blue like this cutie. This has wonderful clarity and gorgeous colors. The blurred colorful background treats this bird well. A super image Kristof :*^>
