Apophysis 2.05b2... I originally wasn't going to post this because I know it's going to bomb in the booth, but I don't care. I had to post this anyway. I also wanted to bring something a little different to my gallery. Good or bad. Thanks to everyone for looking or commenting ! I really appreciate it ! ;o)

Beautiful image Lauren. It's definitely a departure from the standard fractal. Very engaging and thought provoking. High marks.

Hell all my stuff bombs in the booth, LMAO We know what's good don't we dear ?? :-) And this isn't good it's GREAT. I think the folks that are against fractals should try making one or two..........It ain't easy and it's alot of work to try and make it right. Good job Lauren, ya got a ten from me that's for sure. and for people on this site that purposely vote against fractals you can kiss my a$$. There said somethin' I been meaning ta say for a long time. Here come the PM's LMAO John

So very different and I love it :) Although I post very few I do experiment a lot with fractals. If I created one as good as this I would be over the moon :)

I like it, but I think it needs more control. You have about 50-50 of the complicated fractal image (darker) and the lighter concentric lines. I'd emphasize one or the other and use the remaining image as a counterpoint where needed to promote the central focus. Or did you try that and it was a mess? Quite possible! Interesting concept overall. Hope you do more of this sort of thing.

Well, this is how much I know about it. I saw it in the voting booth...loved it from the thumbnail up to the size it uploaded in and I gave it a 10. I think it's good that we have all kinds of different art represented here and I don't think that being a snob about any one particular form is good for any of us...lovely piece.

Definately a departure from your usual work but IMHO that's when your'e at your best. Your most provocative and memorable images seem to be a result of boundry pushing and you always seem up for the challenge. In this piece, I'm drawn to the flury of textures, patterns and colors dispersed throughout the juxtoposition of surface planes. This exploding kaleidoscope of elements is so dynamic. It reminds me a little of something Kandinsky may have created. Terrific work.

I'm glad you posted it. I'm not sure I like it, but I find it really interesting. It's dynamic, different, edgy... it makes the viewer think (possibly why it doesn't do as well as it should in the VB!). That's good. It's good even if I don't exactly like it... yet. I can't really say if I will. It's too new. I might, I might not. That's not the point. I'm glad you posted it because it is good work, interesting and mind-stretching.
