Yes, it's VERY dark, please full view to see the details. This is an extremely personal image, as this has been a bad year for me health wise, as some of my closet friends can attest to. I feel as though my body is under somebody else's control, not mine most days..... I have epilepsy that is not too well controlled right now but we're working on it. ;-D

Please no sympathy, we all have something we deal with on a daily basis, this just happens to be mine.

Or the checkerboard of life. Sometimes a little sideways, overcrowded and tough to figure out your next move. A greaat image, Lauren. You always seem to be able to find a new way to stretch your creativity.

(Love the new avi!)

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

Like.. omg.. fer sure I just saw this somewhere ;-)

This reminds me of a marble/acrylic mosaic. Dark is good sometimes, and this is one example of that. As for your health, no sympathy offered, but instead, wishes for a brighter tomorrow.

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

You are right Lauren, we all have some 'darkness' in our lives.....this is a well executed fractal. I (just me) found myself straining to see 'more' detail but as in Life, things are not always clear to me either.
Thanks angel....best wishes for better days!!

Beautiful in its darkness. I hope you and your body start communicating and that it gets better from here. ;)

Knowing just a bit of what you are going through I can tell just how deeply personal this one is. I can only echo Rob, with my thoughts and prayers for better days, and thank you for sharing this with us.

I like the texture of those shapes -- it's like a collage. I checked just now to make sure it wasn't one, and it says 'fractal'... for some reason I thought it was a painting, so that's amazing.

Lauren, I see many crosses throughout your piece. They are working their way to the top layer of your canvas. Cutting through and defeating the covering barrier before them. They are winning. You will be like those crosses and you will move through the obstacles before you. My thoughts and prayers are added to all of those above me. Best wishes ~~ John

I think many on seeing this image will feel an affinity with what it portrays so well.

The more I look the more I see - and the more it makes me think.

Thanks for sharing this.

I also love purple :)

Take care my friend.

Wonderful creation in every way! Like Lyn the longer I look at it the more I see.

Take care of yourself and remember that behind the clouds the sun is always shining.

Oh Lauren, this must have been done for me...I could feel the darkness, the confusion, the pain. I've been dealing with some heavy stuff myself, so somehow, this creation of yours speaks to me.The little lines, the gashes of pain I would call them, and the tiny squares of confusion, wow. When I paint a canvas in pain, I usually end up with red colours. You've done the same with purple, and that would be the next colour I would paint. This creation of yours has touched my heart. I would like to use the title for a poem, if that's ok with you. verena
