Design; excellent - quality; poor
I have taken a look through your Apophysis pictures. And this is definitely the one I like the best. The purple diamond/squid in the middle surrounded by swirly strings is very, very nice. I like the color choice and balance. But, and there is a but. I think it is way too grainy and unsharp. Looks like it been rendered at quality 25 and the jpg quality is also too low (4-6?).
My suggestion (and it is no more than that) is to load your parameters again and render it at quality 2000 and size above 2000x2000. Then work on it it e.g. Photoshop and scale it down and save it with jpg quality of 10.
Otherwise this is a good composition.
