Morris, Connecticut, USA. On a recent trip to White Flower Farm, a beautiful garden center with great gardens and greenhouses, this dahlia was for sale in the greenhouse. The layered plastic sheathing on the greenhouse diffused the late day light that was shining behind. The crazy petal design reminds me of a Dale Chihuly work. Happy Foofy Friday!

WOW! That's a monster of a foofy! It almost looks like it is alive and kicking, with an attitude! Beautiful color and clarity, and lighting, too. Fantastic shot, Thad.

I can't figure out if this is a Medusa Dahlia or a Octopus Dahlia. It is a beautiful shot and it will be difficult to beat for Foofy Friday post of the day, Thad. I have to agree about the Chihuly.

Looks like it could reach out and attach itself to a person. Lovely colors in it though. Nice image.

This looks like it should be growing at the bottom of the sea. I like its soft colors to. Well done.

Fantastic! Unusual and wonderful flower photo. Pastel colors are great and light background is very good with this subject. Very well done, my friend.

I can clearly see why it reminds you of a Chihuly - I saw a glass chandelier in a Kansas City restaurant by Chihuly that reminds me of this dahlia - this is a really cool dahlia image.
