Alaska, USA - Denali National Park - The view at 3000 feet includes the foreground tundra that gives way to barren mountains that rise to 8000 feet in the background. The peaks are about fifteen miles away. Denali, with 6 million acres of wilderness, the park is filled with beautiful scenery and wildlife. Enjoy! (This afternoon, I returned home from two weeks in Alaska - an incredible experience. Caedes friends have been busy in my absence; I will view images over the next week.)

So that's where you've been! Incredibly beautiful, Thad. I'm sure Alaska was a photographer's delight.

What a beautiful scene Thad. When I saw the title I thought it was going to be a cross between a GMC and a Toyota. I think you need one of them to travel across that terrain.
Outstanding shot.

Yikes, Thad...

I remember your postings of Maine. I think you've found the only place on Earth that might be rockier than Maine's coast.

Love the colors and your use of contrast to make this shot come alive. Excellent work with handling that clear blue sky. My blue sky shots are as noisy as an Alaskan bar.

Wonderful view Thad. The barren mountains with snow on them look grand against the blue sky.

What I like about this shot is how the landscape goes from green to snow all in one shot. Nicely done.
