The subject matter is wonderful, Thad, but that barren sky is taking up half of your image. Obviously I would have liked to have seen the entire barge, but I have a sense that you did what you could with the ships quickly passing each other. It's not like you could ask them to pose. Not sure what you could have done with that sky since cropping out half your shot would have made this look panoramic. Nice detail work. Next time stand back about a quarter mile and hope that the sky is full of 747's.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

A lot of containers Thad. Probably full of all kinds of contraband. I like the sailboat in the mix.

The sailboat is a great add in this photo. Great antinomies between your subjects.

Love the contrast between the two ships - I agree about losing at least part of the sky.

Good contrast between the old and new technologies. A nicely composed scene.

I bet the people sailing with the wind are having more fun. Wish I was with them. Great capture, Thad.

This really shows a person just how big a sailboat really is. I know the barge is big but the sailboat is pretty large too! Great shot Thad!

Oh that freighter sure is loaded, I've seen those coming through here. Super capture show us the size of this big fellow against that wonderful sailboat & little tug
