Thad, with this in black and white, it strikes me like something I may have seen in a 1950's space movie!! Maybe, "The Giant Clematis from Mars."
Just before we shoot off an atomic bomb on Mars, the only female on the spaceship absentmindedly leaves her clematis on the surface of the planet. The bomb is exploded and the radiation changes the plant into...oh well, you know the rest of the story.
The black and white does shed light on the plant and gives it details that may have not been so readily seen in color. Very interesting picture, Thad.
