This is a reproduction of the second church in the community. The first was a wood building constructed in 1683, and replaced by one of stone, similar to this building. In 1839, a brick church was built and is still in use today. After careful research, this reconstruction was completed in 1972; simple in design and decor. Its location is not on the original site, that of the 1839 church. Instead it is adjoining the old cemetery. As with the rest of the series, this is a three-exposure HDR image.

This is very nice. I'd like to see a little bit more of the cemetery at the bottom, but that's just me. :) I love the effect of the light filtering through the trees.

This is really lovely Thad. The colours and the shadows make this a very attractive shot.

The shadow-play on this lovely little church gives a sense of movement - nice work :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

A charming reproduction Thad - and placing it by the cemetery seems a good choice - lovely lighting.
