Point Loma, California, USA. From Point Loma, the harbor is visible. The point of land jutting tint the harbor is Ballast Point. Historians deduct, inconclusively, that this is where Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo first landed. Today it is part of the base of the US Navy's Pacific Fleet. Behind it, to the left is the fleet base. Two aircraft carriers and accompanying fleets are docked. To the right is a portion of the North Island Naval Air Station. In the distance are hundreds of docked sailboats.
