When I was about 12 years old, my family visited Everglades National Park. It was fascinating back then and probably hasn't changed much. Fine shot of the alligator. As always there is little to critique in your photos, Thad. No complaints about the colors being oversaturated, composition is good, no noise or over-sharpening.
It's to a certain extent a relief to me that this 'friendly looking critter' hasn't an eye on you, Thad. An 'intriguing' and perfectly taken image however. Think you've nerves of steel, my friend, ☺ .
