No wonder outlaws choose areas like this to hide from the law. There are so many canyons, rock formations and caves to hole up in you would never be found. The sun turns the rocks bright red before setting, it was so empty there was only one other camper in the campground. If you like quiet, no crowds and beautiful scenery this place is for you

Diane - An awesome view, written not in the overused manner, but in appreciating this beautiful scene. You have captured great depth, and the late-day sunlight accentuates the colors and shapes. Terrific work. Saddle up, there are a lot of miles to travel before you get to town! Thad

One of the things I really like about this shot, is something not done enough. That is the inclusion of the area surrounding the canyon being included in the scene. And the way you've framed it really makes this work. Nice job.

Thanks for this wonderful image Diane. I can see that there must be lots of nooks to hide in such an area.

NICE! Is this taken in Colorado or Utah maybe? Your Southwest images are so good. You know all the right places to go to. This is definitely my kind of place! How about some more Petrified Forest images.....I know you have some stashed just waiting to be shared.

Sounds too crowded if one other camper managed to find the spot. A lovely view of this beautiful landscape. Good lighting and colours in the scene.
