Awesome shot, love the sillouettes and the stillness and serenity of the scene. The pixelation around the center rock bothers me a lil bit, but I'm always noticing the little things lol. Other than that, perfect, I like the color gradients in the sky and water.
Fantastic pic, 9/10! Only reason it isn't a 10 (imho) would be the .. weirdness.. around the top of the tree-line, and the centre rock.. Any chance of uploading a cleaned up version? Seriously, apart from those two little issues, it's a perfect pic..
Thank you June, Anthony and Mary:-) Who would have the nerve to tell someone to shut up...other than a great friend. And no this is not an invitation lol. Anthony, thanks for noticing that and saying something...wasn't sure if it would get noticed hehe. May have to rework this eh...do some fancy blemish painting. Any thoughts? Mary it was quite serene except for the bad loon calls I was attempting;-)
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man less, but Nature more

Thank you Manik and Jill. Manik I will see if I can clean that up...I would have given it a 7 lol. Jill, I sure hope others weren't around...the water was very warm and the echoes in the area were incredible. Must have heard 4 repeats and my dogs didn't know where to go when I called them hehe;-)
Another amazing shot. I love the way the trees are silhouetted and the reflection of the beautiful sunset on the lake. So is patience the key to getting a great shot?
Ya, any free software the comes with digital cameras has some kind of "remove blemish" brush or function. I use the one in MGI photosuite to remove pixelation from pics or smooth edges. Not its intended use but hey gotta use what you have lol
Thanks Anthony...I did use Neat Image to remove the noise that my camera loves to put in those low light images. That may be where the pixelation came from. Have a go at a rework if you like...I made a bigger mess when iI tried to spruce it up last night:-)
Pierre, Shannon and I went camping last week and captured the shot in the geographic center of Vancouver Island at about 1000 meters. Haven't found a lake I didn't like yet;-) Wish I could get a shot without grain at this time of day. Any helpful hints besides a new camera?
