Well, from all the photos of lovelies you've been putting up lately, I can understand her plight. Excellent technical work on this photo. It looks great :)
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso
Splendid! I love the hair, the pose, the hat and the glasses, not to mention the wonderful job you did on the portrait. Nice work, Steven! Oh my goodness, I should read the comments first. I said basically what JQ said! lol Well, that 's the way we see it, my friend.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I love green...and i love how you captured your "rose'...nicely done! What I like the most is the fact that your picture has personality and this is very hard to succed in surprising that!
I'll have to strike that look and pose next time I get the little green bug, although somehow, I don't think I'll achieve the same effect...LOL. I'll just stick to my 'glare'instead.
Another excellent portrait to your outstanding collection...Jacquie
