Hello, Doug...

A C-Index of 41 is an outrage for this shot. Maybe I've got the VB all wrong, but it seems to me that a 5 is average. This is a solid 6 and maybe even a 7. I'm just not sure what people are thinking or seeing when they vote, but it really bothers me. To me an old folded and faded Polaroid is a 1 or 2. Yet really pretty good photos are getting 23's and the like.

Anyway, very nice shot. The shot is well focused, had good contrast, and interesting perspective and an exceptional subject. I also like the green foliage foreground. My only problem with the shot is where the structure is cropped out on the right. maybe there were some tourists in the way or a beheading taking place. Other than that, the shot is well above average and deserves a much higher C-Index.

A very well composed shot with a top notch angle of the subject.

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson
